Report from the Conference ”Free All Political Prisoners of the World”

Copenhagen, October 22 – 24, 2010

The conference had 150 – 200 participants from: Iran, Palestina, Lebanon, Turkey, Kurdistan, Mexico, Colombia, USA, the Basque Country, Sweden, Norway, Germany, Netherlands, England, France and Denmark.

At the final plenary session the following decisions for the future collaboration was decided:

1.      Establishment of a common webside “Free All Political Prisoners of the World”.

This webside shall have links to the organizations represented at the conference

This webside shall currently inform about the situation of the political prisoners in the various countries and about the various initiative of solidarity to the political prisoners etc.

2.      Designation of a “Follow Up” group to operate the webside and coordinate the future common activities (see the group below)

3.      Preparation of  a Tribunal/Tribunals on political prisoners

4.      Sending of delegations of solidarity to trials against political activists

5.      Elaboration of lists with the name of political prisoners in the various countries and send letters of solidarity to the prisoners and possibly adopt political prisoners

6.      Designate an international week/day for the political prisoners of the world

7.      Create documentary films on the political prisoners

8.      Edit a book with poems written by the political prisoners

9.      Create an e-mail net for all the participants in the conference “Free All Political Prisoners of the World”
